We offer overnight, 2nd day, and standard (up to 5 business days) shipping via UPS.
In most cases, orders placed Monday-Friday by 10 am Eastern Time ship by the next business day. Orders placed Friday after 10 am through Sunday ship within the next 2 business days.
Orders are shipped by UPS. UPS will not deliver to Post Office Boxes. Therefore, please specify a physical address for delivery. We only ship to addresses in the United States and Canada.
We guarantee the arrival of your chocolate in perfect condition when using our recommended method of shipping. Because temperatures vary across the country, we may choose not to ship over the weekend in order to ensure premium quality upon arrival. For this reason, we cannot guarantee Monday deliveries.
Sales Tax
All shipments to Texas will be charged applicable sales tax, which is currently 8.25%.
Warm Weather Climates
If the temperature you are shipping to or from is near 65 degrees or above, Next Day Air shipping is recommended to guarantee your products against melting. By refusing our recommended method of shipping, all product guarantees become void. Ice packs will be used at no extra charge in an attempt to minimize damage, but please be aware that ice packs will only cool the product up to 24 hours.
All shipments are sent with a "signature release," meaning if someone is not available to sign for the package, it will be left at the door. We strongly recommend that you ensure someone will be available on the estimated delivery day to sign for the package. We are not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from packages left unattended.
Non-Delivered Shipments
On occasion, there are shipments that can not be delivered. Reasons for non-delivery include: Business not open, closed or moved (carrier will not forward), incorrect address, unavailability or refusal to accept delivery and carrier error. If Chocolate Prescription is at fault for failing to adhere to the Order Confirmation, we will assume all product and freight cost that relate to our error. However, if Chocolate Prescription is not at fault and adhered to the instructions on the Order Confirmation, the customer assumes all costs related to the order. Due to the perishable nature of our products, Chocolate Prescription is responsible only for the for the first delivery attempt. We charge a 20% restocking fee for all refused orders and all returns, which were shipped in accordance with customer’s instructions.
